About...

The photographer

Being a spare time photographer since early boyhood, in the latest years Bo Davidsson has concentrated on the underwater photography. In Bo Davidsson´s opinion the underwater world offers extraordinary sceneries and spectacular wild-life, as well as very special photographic conditions.

Most pictures originates from tropical waters: Dumaguete, Malapasqua, Moalboal, Minodoro, Padre Burgos and Panglao in the Philippines; Alor, Bali, Bunaken, Komodo, Lembeh Strait and Raja Ampat in Indonesia; Similan Islands in Thailand; Perhentian Islands in Malaysia; Aqaba, Daedalus, Hurghada, Sharm el Sheik and St John´s Reef in the Red Sea; Cozumel in Mexico; the Male and Ari atolls of the Maldives. But you can also find pictures from Scandinavian gems like lake Vättern or the sea of Kattegat.

The philosophy

All animals are portrayed in their natural habitat. No alterations of the background are made. Needless to say, no animals are being hurt during the process, nor are they being stressed. Their behavior is not provoked in any way. No touch.

Thus the photographs do represent “underwater street photography”.
